A leading aerospace and defense organization, Northrop Grumman sought to establish a scalable Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) digital thread across multiple engineering systems of record. Fragmented tools and manual processes made it difficult to maintain traceability, validate data, and ensure consistency across disciplines. The organization needed a solution that could automatically establish and maintain a digital thread across disparate MBSE tools while engineers continued working within their preferred systems—without adding complexity or requiring extensive cross-training.
